Douglas Beyerlein, P.E., P.H., D.WRE

Douglas Beyerlein (pronounced BY-er-LINE), P.E., P.H., D.WRE brings to Forester University over 30 years of experience in water resources planning, flood studies, and stormwater management. As co-founder of Clear Creek Solutions (www.clearcreeksolutions.com/), Beyerlein has led the engineering community in the development of new, more accurate tools to analyze the hydrologic impacts of human activities on rivers, streams, and fish habitat. Beyerlein is licensed as a Registered Professional Engineer in Washington and California, and is certified as a Professional Hydrologist by the American Institute of Hydrology. Beyerlein is also a member of the American Water Resources Association and the American Geophysical Union, and has also been awarded the title Diplomate, Water Resources Engineer, by the American Academy of Water Resources Engineers.

Beyerlein teaches workshops on the theory and application of HSPF. His clients have included the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Natural Resources Conservation Service, Washington State Department of Ecology, King County, Snohomish County, Thurston County, Clark County, City of Kent, CH2M Hill, OTAK, Ebasco Environmental, David Evans and Associates, EMCON Northwest, Alpha Engineering, and KCM.

 In his spare time Beyerlein runs marathons and is a freelance writer for local publications such as Northwest Runner and Washington Trails magazine.
