Profile Products' Lauro Earns CPSWQ Certification
PROFILE Products LLC has announced that Frank Lauro, P.E., the company's market development manager in the western United States, has been named a Certified Professional in Storm Water Quality (CPSWQ). The new certification is in addition to the Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) designation Lauro earned in November 2006.

A CPSWQ is recognized as an expert in addressing issues affecting storm water quality. Through his education, experience, and testing, Lauro has demonstrated that he is qualified to participate in a wide variety of storm water-related activities. Such activities include the development and review of NPDES permit applications, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), installation and inspection of storm water management practices, as well as other related activities, such as assisting regulators, authoring handbooks or educating the public.
"Over the past several years, I have seen a gradual evolution in the industry, where once we were focused on implementing best management practices to control sediment, we are now looking closer at non-visible pollutants and achieving numerical water quality goals," Lauro said. "I feel that with the CPSWQ certification, I will be in a better position to assist our clients in achieving these goals."
Lauro joined Profile Products in January 2006, bringing with him substantial knowledge and expertise in storm water systems developed through his experience as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of California. He received his bachelor of civil engineering from the University of Washington, and his master of civil engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
The CPSWQ program is administered by CPESC, Inc., whose founding members are the Soil and Water Conservation Society and the International Erosion Control Association (IECA), two leading non-profit organizations dedicated to providing resources, training and more for professionals in the erosion, storm water and sediment control fields.
